ANZAC Letters Home
Dear Family,
Cold, scared, hungry. It’s dark. My feet are wet. Hard, old biscuits and canned meals are the norm. Bombs, cries and gunshots, one after another. Hours go by. Cartilages lay rotting in the trench. Duties like repairing trenches, guard duty and clean weapons are not my preference. After all I am still fighting and hoping one day we'll be together. “Over the top in ten seconds” called Captain
Just know that I will always love you.


In our classroom we have been learning about ANZAC day. ANZAC stands for Australia and New Zealand army corps.
