Facts about the earth

Facts about the earth
Screenshot 2014-10-30 at 10.27.09 AM.pngThe earth is made out of 4 layers called the crust, the mantle, the outer core and the inner core.

The crust is the outer and thinnest layer of the earth. It is made out of special kind of rocks that
is made out of a combination of iron and magnesium. It is 5 kilometers thick from the ocean floor and 70 kilometers from land where we live.

The second inner layer of the earth is the mantle, it is almost 3,000 km (kilometers) deep. On the top part of the mantel volcanoes are formed.

The third inner layer is called the outer core. It is 4,000-5,000 degrees celsius and did you know the inner core is so hot that it melts the metal of the outer core into liquid magma.

The next layer is called the inner core. The inner core is made out of lava, you might think lava is liquid but its so hot that it turns into a rock that is solid. The inner core is as hot as the surface as the sun.

Sasquatch the North American Bigfoot

Sasquatch, the North American Bigfoot

Screenshot 2014-10-29 at 10.19.57 AM.pngPeople claim to have seen Sasquatch in and around mountains of North America. People who claim to see him described him looking like a human but larger and hairier. Some people believe Sasquatch is the offspring of apes. They think there could be about 2,000 Sasquatch, but if there were that many there would be more evidence to prove Sasquatch the North America Bigfoot is real.

People have made plaster casts of Sasquatch’s huge footprints to prove he is real. Because of his big feet people started to call him Bigfoot. A scientist with casts of footprints believes the footprint was made by a Sasquatch 2.5 meters tall and weighing 350 kilograms.

Our own story

Losey gets lost
Characters:Losey, David, Nancy
Setting:Friendly Neighbourhood

Once there was a Dog called Losey, and a man called David, they were best friends. They lived in a friendly neighbourhood, with one of Davids close neighbours, Nancy.

One day, David woke up to feed Losey but when he went to the backyard he released Losey was gone, so he knocked on Nancy front door and said “Have you seen Losey?” “Sorry I haven’t” Nancy replied.

So David went home, got on his computer and started printing out flyers about Loseys weight, height and the type of breed.

When he made 30-40 flyers, he started knocking on his neighbours door and handing them out, one by one he handed them around the neighbourhood.

When he finished handing out the flyers, he went home and looked at all the pictures of Losey. He thought of memories he had with Losey.

The Next day, David heard a knock on the door one of his neighbours said” Is this your dog?” “Yes! Yes!” said David “Well here you go” said his neighbour.

Later that day, David thought of having a welcome home party for Losey since she was gone for quite a long time.

So David invited Nancy to come over for Loseys welcome home party, David bought a pizza, Nancy bought a bottle of soda and they all had a great time chatting and playing fetch with Losey.

Moment in time walking to school

Walking to school
One day, I am walking to school. I see a man walking closer and closer to me, as he is just beside me I know he is my teacher. With a big grin on his face, he says ‘What is your favorite subject” “my favourite subject is maths”. The cold winter wind is blowing all the snow to my face, the trees and leaves are almost frozen, my face is almost as cold as snow. The snow covers my feet, it’s so hard to walk through the snow, I feel like a big heavy giant as I stomp through the snow.

Peace

Peace
Peace is calmness from within.
Peace sounds like laughter.
Peace feels like hugs and kisses.
Peace is as bright as the sun.
Peace looks like classmates being happy and working together.
