Spring Cameo

Spring Cameo
Have you ever smelled spring?
Sure you have.
Remember that time
You were playing under warn the clear blue sky
In the soggy,
muddy grass.
That was spring

Remember that time
You were in at the farm in Silverdale

Watching the new born lambs.
That was spring

Remember that time
When the air was filled with
The sweet scent of flowers
That was Spring

In our class was have been learning about poems and their structure. I have created a spring poem with a cameo structure. I can improve next time by being more detailed when describing the lambs. Hope you enjoy!

  1. Kia Ora Mikayla,

My name is Megan, and I will be one of the people blogging with you this summer for the Summer Learning Journey.

Wow, what a beautiful poem about spring. I really liked the verse

    'Remember that time
You were playing under warn the clear blue sky
    In the soggy,
    muddy grass.
    That was spring'.

This is so accurate and really does remind me of playing in the warm sun while wearing gumboots. It also reminds me of spring time skiing on Mt Ruapehu. We would have bluebird skies, strip down to our shirts, and ski down the mountain. Have you ever been to the snow on a spring day?

We are thrilled that you've registered for the Summer Learning Journey with us. I know it can sometimes be tricky to get started. I have included a link to the week one activities, but remember, you can do them in any order! Check out the activities on our website, and then post your responses to the activities here on your blog site.
